We are planning a new ongoing reading program! Challenge yourself to share 1000 books with your child before he or she reaches kindergarten. For every 100 books you share, your child will earn a free book or an exciting incentive!

Sign up and earn free paperback books and embroidered patches, stickers, or other prizes! This is an independent, self-paced program. We provide a book log – you track your reading progress! Stop by Youth Services for more details, to register, or to redeem rewards.

Library Makers: Squishy Circuits

Explore circuits with dough! What can you make? We'll provide the supplies, LEDs, and dough - you supply the design. Caregivers are encouraged to attend.

Meet the Masters: Jackson Pollock

Learn about American painter Jackson Pollock and then try his unique style of drip painting. Plan to get a bit messy. Weather permitting this program will be held outside.

ChiLUG LEGO® Display

For LEGO ® enthusiasts of all ages

ChiLUG (Chicago Area LEGO® Users Group) will display a variety of their diverse and unique creations. Each LEGO® builder will be available to answer all sorts of LEGO® related questions.

Families can build skyscrapers, vehicles, and other awe-inspiring creations with our collection of Legos! Once your project is complete, we’ll take a photo of you and your Lego® creation to proudly display in Youth Services.
