We are happy to introduce the Glowforge Plus laser cutter to Studio 411! This multi-use machine lets you design projects with various materials, from draftboard to acrylic.
You can now try out the Glowforge in Studio 411. Visit our calendar to see all Studio 411 events. Or, if you want to try the machine on your own time, make an appointment with a library staff member through our appointments page. The Library will have the following materials available for use with the Glowforge:
- Draftboard
- Acrylic
- Basswood and cherry plywood
- Cherry hardwood
- Veneer
For those looking for more specific colors and textures, we encourage you to purchase your own Glowforge Proofgrade materials. Proofgrade materials ensure that your projects will cut and engrave properly. Materials can be purchased through the Glowforge website, Michaels, or JOANN Fabrics.
