How to Reserve a Console
Visit staff at the Teen Desk to make a reservation for playing video games in the Hive. Advanced reservations are not available at this time.
To reserve the video games in the Hive, patrons must:
- Have an active Helen Plum library card
- Be in grades 6-12
- Follow the Video Game Guidelines
- Follow Library Policies and Rules
Teen Gaming Guidelines
- You are expected follow U-2 Patron Behavior Policy, including being “well-mannered and respectful of other patrons and staff as well as Library and patron property.”
- All video game equipment must be turned in at the Teen Desk after use.
- Video game consoles are unavailable 15 minutes before The Hive closes.
- You are not permitted to change account settings. You cannot login to your personal accounts, add friends, or link accounts on library equipment.
- You can use the pre-downloaded games on the console and make suggestions to staff for any video games you would like to be potentially added.
- You are not permitted to bring your own controllers or download games.
- Saved data will be removed from consoles regularly.
