Donation drives play a crucial role during the holiday season by bringing people together to address local needs. We are so grateful to have the space to accommodate initiatives and serve as a central hub for our community to donate.
Upcoming drives for the holiday season:
Lombard Fire Department Toy Drive & Parade
Fri, Nov 1–Fri, Dec 13
Collection bin in the Hub
The Lombard Fire Department is hosting its 23rd Annual Toy Drive, and Helen Plum Library is one of many drop-off sites around town. Residents are invited to participate and help spread holiday cheer by donating new, unwrapped toys and baby supplies (especially formula, wipes, and diapers) to help local families in need. Donations will benefit Toy Express and Teen Parent Connection. The drive will end with a Toy Parade on Main Street, from St. Charles Road to Wilson Avenue, on Saturday, December 14 at 10:30am.
College of DuPage Fuel Pantry Food Drive
Mon, Dec 2–Mon, Dec 30
Collection bin in the Hub
CoD’s Fuel Pantry provides free food and personal care items to CoD students who are dealing with food insecurity. Access to food is essential to academic success. Drop off non-perishable grocery items and toiletries in the bin located in the lobby this December!
Holiday Card Exchange
Mon, Nov 4–Thu, Jan 2, 2025
Outside Studio 411 on the 2nd Floor
Bring in leftover seasonal cards and envelopes and take home some new-to-you cards. A great way to reduce, reuse, and recycle - and save yourself yet another trip to the store!
Versiti Blood Drive
Thu, Dec 12 from 2:30-7pm
Plum Meeting Rooms
You’re invited to make a difference by donating blood to help save lives, including those with cancer and sickle cell disease. Every donation is needed to meet the high demand from hospitals in your community. Appointments are preferred, but walks-ins are also welcome.
