This week, contractors started abatement work on both the 401 and 425 S. Main Street buildings.

Helen Plum Library has completed closing and now officially owns the property at 401 and 425 South Main Street.

On Thursday, January 14th, the Village Board approved the Library's construction and zoning petition.

On December 21, 2020, the Library building planning team presented plans to the Village of Lombard's Zoning and Planning Commission.

The following was presented by the Engberg Anderson architect team to the Library’s Trustees during their Wed, Dec 9, 2020 board meeting.

Thanks to all of the residents who were able to join us for Virtual Community Conversations! For those who were unable to make it, or to review the information again, a recording of the meeting and the slide deck are available.

The Library will hold virtual Community Conversation meetings open to all residents to present the latest updates on the building design and a project budget estimate.

During the August 12, 2020 Helen Plum Library Board meeting, held at the Village Hall, Trustees were presented with preliminary Schematic Designs for the new Library located at 401-425 S. Main Street.

Our building project team has put together a broad timeline, with room for flexibility, that we are excited to share as planning for our new building moves forward!

On Tuesday, December 8, 2015, Frederick Quinn Construction Management presented Helen Plum Library Board of Trustees with a preliminary Facility Condition Assessment Report of the current building and grounds.
